Our event is held the second Sunday of each month. We partner with local charities who receive the proceeds of each session. We have a committee that runs the bingo sessions and prepares the cards before each session. Food and beverages are sold along with pull tabs.
Initial bingo setup is complex and requires an investment. Special equipment is required to host bingo (bingo machine and board, bingo supplies.
Since bingo is gambling, a special permit is required. This would need to be obtained prior to investing in bingo equipment and supplies.
Once the infrastructure is in place, bingo operates on a monthly cycle, organizing charity partners, advertising, volunteer coordination, and hosting bingo.
Event Rating: Very Successful
Event Complexity: Very Complex
Event Pros and Cons:
Usually $500 to $1000 is raised for the partner charity depending on how many attend. There are regulars that attend every month. The partner charity is encouraged to bring in players and also help during the event. Single card packets are $12 and double packets are $20. A committee of several reliable people is needed for this to work smoothly.
Partner Organization(s): Different partner organizations each month.
Benefit Organization(s): Same as partners
Cost of Event: Initial cost for acquiring equipment/supplies. Otherwise all costs are covered by money collected
